Past Present and Future of Accounting
Mike is the co-founder and CEO of FloQast, Inc. located in Los Angeles. FloQast is a Software as a Service company specializing in cloud-based software built to manage the financial statement close process. Prior to founding FloQast, Mike was part of the accounting & finance team at Cornerstone OnDemand, a Software as a Service company in Los Angeles providing talent management software to Fortune 500 clients. He was the 5th accountant brought onto the team to prepare for an IPO and helped manage a rapidly growing accounting department. While at CSOD, he was responsible for a five year retrospective adoption of multiple deliverable revenue recognition guidance, Quickbooks to NetSuite conversion, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and performed all facets of the Company’s acquisition of Sonar6.
Mike began his career in the audit practice at Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, where his focus was on Media & Entertainment companies. His main clients included Lions Gate Entertainment, Concord Music Group and Mark Burnett Productions. During his time at EY he performed public company audits, opening balance sheet audits, cash to GAAP restatements, compilation reviews, international reporting, merger and acquisition audits and SOX compliance testing.
